Increasingly nowadays, a city’s High Street is judged on the quality of its coffee joints.
Luckily, Exeter boasts a few really good ones and here are our favourites by far:
You might miss Artigiano as it is tucked in between two big high street shops (Specsavers and Card Factory). It isn’t the most obvious location for a trendy coffee place, but it serves quality coffee and arty cappuccinos with good vibes.
Once again this coffee shop is for Exeterians ‘in the know’. It is located on Exeter’s alternative Fore Street, in the McCoy Arcade. Well worth the detour, possibly our favourite.
You will also find a Camper Coffee shop in the Language School on Campus.
Next to Exeter Central Train Station. Great interior decor, scrumptious pastries, top cup of coffee.
On Fore Street, this is an Art Gallery and a tea/coffee house.
It is quirky, colourful, inspiring and the staff is very friendly and relaxed. They will allow you to bring a Burrito bought at their Mexican neighbour “TACO MACHO” and eat it there.
Great location on the Cathedral Yard. This delicious veggie restaurant also serves great coffee and beautiful cakes. Very friendly staff too.
